Artist Statement:
Swimming among the lily pads as a boy was an everyday occurrence during the summer at my parents’ cabin in Northern Minnesota. We all have seen them on the top of the water – they look like cobblestones. I loved the thought of standing beneath the lily pads to catch a glimpse from below.
About Brian F. McCormick
After being in the workplace for 30 years and with the support of his wife, McCormick returned to the classroom and the studio to see what doors might open in the next chapter of his life. He is currently in training to become a public artist. He wants to combine his interest in sculpture with his experience in large scale construction to create art and beauty.
