Artist Statement:

Jeff states, “My interest in industrial machinery comes from my time in the Rust Belt, where I was exposed to the decay of industry fixed within the landscape. The exposed mechanisms offer a sense of transparency to them in contrast to contemporary technology. Artworks like Springer reference these mechanisms through a lens of abstraction. The vibrant colors and oversized components obscure function to bring a sense of play and wonder to each piece.”
