Artist Statement:
As an artist, I connect with the energy and motion in my environment, which then serves as a conduit for the art I create. It is the assimilation of this spirit—energy and motion—that inspires my work. In painting, my brush strokes translate this energy. Sculpture is the three-dimensional translation of that power and motion. Finally, sculpture is placed in an environment that gives it context.
About Terry Meyer
Terry Meyer is a self-taught artist, working for the past 50+ years in several mediums including steel, oil paints, clay, silk screening and watercolors. He has won numerous awards participating in art shows and exhibitions and often donates work to community organizations. He has many individual and corporate patrons across the country and is represented in several fine art galleries.
