Artist Statement:

Rising Rainbow is an enlargement of a life-size, 14” rainbow trout that I completed in 2011. I was pleased with the design and I wanted to see it in monumental size. This rainbow trout is on the rise, perhaps after your fly. Although the fish and the rock base are representational, I chose a stylized support between the rocks and the tail of the trout. I believe that a detailed branch or grass support would stop your eye as it follows the fluid lines of the sculpture.
