About Greg Kraft
Greg Kraft was born in 1958 in Devils Lake, ND. The beauty of nature inspired him to carve wood. Greg is self-taught with the help of library books. He carved ice at the St. Paul Winter Carnival for 10 years. Opportunities in community education opened a new world for him. He learned knife making, silversmithing, carving wood, bone, horn, stone and antler, leather work, and scrimshaw. He also became a blacksmith. He has received 14 ribbons at the Minnesota State Fair for knife and tool making, basketry, bead work, wood carving, and pen turning. Greg completed the Vesper School of Sculpture, had works in several galleries, has sold pieces internationally, won awards, and was accepted in two Minnesota sculpture walks. He loves sculptures!
