Learning to Fly
Artist Statement:
I named this piece Learning to Fly. While I usually work with all recycled scraps, this time I found some materials that resembled crane heads and necks. Inspired by a family of sandhill cranes raising their young on my property, I used the leftover scraps to shape their bodies and wings.
