Artist Statement:

Forged in Feathers is a sculpture designed and crafted by JWP’s 2025-26 Metal Sculpture class. We had a hard time narrowing down which sculpture we wanted to present. After a few crazy design ideas, we decided that nature is already perfect, and that’s as beautiful as it gets. This turkey represents the true simplicity of life and the natural beauty that still walks this earth. This sculpture is to remind everyone who struts past it that, despite all of the craziness in the world, we need to come back to the things that nature has given us, and seek refuge in living life day to day, strut by strut, and feather by feather.
