Dancing Flame
Artist Statement:
Dancing Flame is the foray into how simple a dance can be. Can a flame dance? And when it does, can we snap an image of it, or do we walk around, moving with the flame's beguiling dance?
About Harold Linke
Harold Linke sculpts movement and joy. His wispy white sculpture springs from an insatiable curiosity, a search for life’s metaphors, deep study of anatomy, and love of what gives us joy. Pioneering carbon fiber composite and expansive gestures, he creates one-of-a-kind sculptures. Each gesture flows from a lifetime of thought and deliberate disregard of boundaries. Over a thousand of his sculptures grace public spaces, dwellings and gardens around the world, including the Cornell Complex in Joplin, MO, the Silverthorne Performing Arts Center and the Benson Sculpture Garden in Colorado. His sculptures earned Best of Show and People’s Choice Awards in Colorado, South Dakota and Texas.
