After the Party
Artist Statement:
I have created a sculpture of colored orbs. Its effect reads like the orbs were dumped out of a bag, but with a more linear structure instead of a pile. It translates as clumsy and a little awkward, with a buoyancy and energy that engages the community.
About Pocket Toscani
Pocket Toscani was born in Dayton, Ohio and received an MFA from Ohio University. After school Toscani moved to Chicago and worked at The Field Museum of Natural History. Toscani moved to Minneapolis to work at the Children’s Museum. Toscani started teaching sculpture a little over 15 years ago. Toscani now teaches full time at Minnesota State University, Mankato. Toscani has been showing regularly for decades and is still excited and driven to produce the best work possible. Toscani has gotten a number of grants and commissions. Toscani lives with their partner and daughter in N.E. Minneapolis and Mankato, Minnesota.
