Shark!
Artist Statement:
I saved a toy shark for several years, knowing I would one day make a great white. The 8" toy became my model for a 20' shark. I used a scrap Chevy pickup frame for the base and then covered the steel frame with salvaged painted equipment door panels. I had door panels in all the natural colors for a great white shark. I encourage people to yell SHARK! when viewing this sculpture.
About Dale Lewis
Artist Dale Lewis has gained national and international attention as an award-winning sculptor. For years, his works have been included in sculpture walks throughout a seven-state area including Minnesota, Wisconsin, Indiana, Kansas, South Dakota, Missouri and Iowa, in addition to British Columbia, Canada.
