Pretty Simple
Artist Statement:
When the shape of the base is simple, it’s like a blank canvas on which to create a picture with iridescent stained glass and reflective mosaic tiles. A simple design then draws the eyes to the color, beauty, and depth of the glass.
About Chon Love
Chon Love is a native of Sioux Falls and currently lives in the Black Hills area. Her background includes nursing and law (as a paralegal in a corporate law firm in Billings, MT). She has always loved Art as a hobby, and in 2004 was delighted to have her proposal accepted by Jim Clark, director, and the arts committee into Sculpture Walk. Over the years she has done several public and privately commissioned pieces. Two notable achievements were for the Rapid City Regional Airport and for Dale Lamphere’s beautiful “Community Tapestry” sculptures at Monument Hospital in Rapid City, South Dakota. She loves the beauty of glass, and in each design is attentive to small details. Every step reflects her desire for high quality in design and process.
