Fawned Memories
Artist Statement:
I am inspired by Colorado’s wildlife that can be seen from our home. My motive for this bronze is to show the tenderness that occurs between a doe and her young, including the playful, inquisitive nature of the fawns.
About Christine Knapp
Award winning sculptor, Christine Knapp, has been a professional artist since 1990. She is best known for her realistic bronze creations of both animal and human subjects, ranging from miniature to monumental sizes. She attended art classes at the University of Dayton and Sinclair Community College. Christine has also studied with many well-known painters and sculptors, concentrating her sculpture studies with Lincoln Fox, Walt Horton, and Veryl Goodnight among others. In order to better convey the spirit of her subjects, she travels extensively to obtain first hand knowledge through personal observation and her own photography. Her work is in public and private collections in the USA, Canada, Europe, and Africa.
